What Flooring Should I Choose? Q & A

Living Room

Finding the right flooring for your home can be a difficult job. There are so many factors to consider to ensure your flooring is the right choice for your home. To help, we’ve put together a quick Q & A to help you find the right flooring for you. If you choose an answer that's orange, click the link for more helpful information!

1) Which room do you need to decorate?

Bathroom

The bathroom is one of the hardest places to find the right flooring as it needs to be water-resistant, as well as stylish and durable.

Living Room

Your living room is the focal point of the house, so make sure you do it right!

Kids Room

For a kid’s room, you want something fun and durable to keep up with the pitter patter of small feet.

Kitchen

As the kitchen deals with high footfall and humidity, it’s important you choose the right type of flooring to match this.

Master Bedroom

Your master bedroom flooring needs to be something you’re happy to see every morning you wake up.

The Whole House

Every room of your home needs a specific type of flooring. Move on to the next question to help make your decision.

2) Do you want a wood look flooring?

Yes

There are plenty of different wood-look finishes without the price tag of real wood flooring.

No

Some people would prefer real wood flooring, rather than wood look finish.  However, if you’d prefer a unique look, we suggest you take a look at our more unusual laminate designs.

3) Do you have children or pets?

Yes

Children or pets require flooring that can withstand increased footfall. It also needs to be able to cope with stains, scratches and possible spills. We recommend vinyl or laminate for this job.
No              There's not as much need to worry about stains or spills without children or pets running around the house! You could still have any flooring choice you want.

4) What's your budget for flooring?

£5 - £10 per m²

Laminate flooring is your best bet for this budget, however, Cork flooring is also worth considering.

£15 - 20 per m²

For this price range, you're able to afford Laminate, Cork and Luxury Vinyl Flooring with ease.

£20 - £50 per m²

With a budget of £20 - £50 per m² you will be able to afford the flooring of your choice. This includes Solid Wood Flooring, Engineered Wood Flooring and  Bamboo Flooring.
